Why do an Antenatal Course?

  1. Education allows you to get informed about the physiology of birth and prepared for postpartum

My antenatal integration covers the stages of labour, hormones and what happens during the initial postpartum - this means you get to feel informed, prepared and ready to face birth with confidence.

  2. You’ll have a chance to practice decision making and advocacy skills

Self-advocacy is key to getting your needs met and getting the care you deserve. During our course, we’ll explore decision-making tools and advocacy skills for you and your birth team.

  3. You’ll have space to reflect and process new information

It’s important to hold space for reflection and time to process as you step into a big life shift. My antenatal integration is woven with time for rest, relaxation and reflection.

  4. It’s an opportunity to connect with community, you’re not alone in this

There’s so much value in feeling connected and held in community. Our course is created to connect fellow parent-to-be so you can also learn from each other and find support in each other.

  5. You’ll have access to the knowledges of your facilitator and their pool of connections

When you join swole’s antenatal integration you get access to my knowledge from training and experience, and my network of fellow birthworkers. If I don’t know the answer to something I have access to a hive-mind of fellow practitioners who can sign-post and offer insight.
